What we teach

Three things, on repeat.

We don't chase trophies or tournament records. We teach the things that compound year over year until an athlete is unmistakable on a high school field.

01

Skill

Position-specific reps. Age-appropriate progressions. Every athlete touches the ball every drill.

02

Character

Effort over outcome. How you lose matters. The kid who gets back up faster is the one we're building.

03

Fundamentals

The boring stuff that wins late innings — and gets a 9th grader looking like a player on day one of HS tryouts.

The pipeline

Five divisions. One destination.

Athletes move through the program with the same coaches, the same standards, the same dirt. The youth divisions exist to feed the high school program — not the other way around.

  1. 3/4 Grades 3 – 4 First reps
  2. 5/6 Grades 5 – 6 Position discovery
  3. 7/8 Grades 7 – 8 HS prep

Year-round development

Specialty lessons.

Position-specific work with the same coaches who run team practices. Available in the off-season and in addition to your team's schedule.

Coaches you can trust

Who's on the field with your kid.

NFHS-certified

Every head coach holds active National Federation of State High School Associations certification.

Background-checked

Annual checks on every coach and volunteer who works with our athletes.

Positive coaching

Trained on Positive Coaching Alliance methodology. We coach kids, not scoreboards.

Community partners

Donated time keeps the program running.

Diamond Dirtbags is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We run on donated time, donated platforms, and a community that shows up. These are the partners going to bat for us right now.

The family

Diamond Dirtbags is a family.

Parents who show up, coaches who stay late, alumni who come back, and kids who get dirtier every year. Register for Fall — your athlete walks into a program built on a decade of coaching experience in El Dorado County.
